another miracle

the ventilator is out; he can talk. he is untied, and he wants to go home. so many things he knows and communicates. he doesn't know what a bed is. when asked how is stomach felt he laughed and said "it feels hard." he keeps saying "i'm tired of waiting; let's get out of here now. we're leaving."
there are a lot of really good signs right now. WE STILL HAVE A LONG ROAD! the neurologist said that scans still show no sign of major damage, but he still doesn't know everything but he knows sam is 4 and will is 2. he knew i was pregnant but he said only god knows what i am having. he is still in the very initial stages of recovery. please keep hoping. we are living a miracle right now.

Jennifer, when I woke up this morning the first thing I did was dash over to the computer to check for updates. I'm so grateful that he is coming out of this and that you have been blessed with your own Christmas season miracle. We'll keep praying that things continue to look up for Pete and that he regains all of his brain function. It can be a slow process in some ways and other ways it can happen fast--I know from the experience with my Mom when she had been sedated and didn't wake up for 11 days. I'm just so happy that you can get through this TOGETHER.

Yesterday during one of my prayers, I could feel the power of prayer so strong that I knew it was heard and added to the many prayers offered up for you guys. It was a special spiritual experience and I'm grateful for it.

More prayers and faith are coming your way.

Love,
Stormy

I'm sitting here at work bawling my eyes out. I have been praying and thinking of you non-stop since Monday but feel so helpless. I don't know what to do, don't know what to say...This is such great news that I want to hug someone. Too bad I'm at work and I don't think anyone would appreciate it. Hang in there. I know prayers are answered. Love you guys, Angel

Hi I just got your link off of facebook. I went to school with Pete. I just wanted to let you know that we will be praying for your family. Our family experienced a remarkable miracle with my son who received a heart transplant last year. I know with all of my heart that pray works and Miracles do happen. Sounds like he is a fighter! We will be praying for your family!

Jen, I was sooo excited to read your entry this morning. You and Pete are amazing! We continue to pray for all of you!

A miracle indeed...what great blessings! I am SO glad to hear that he's awake, talking, the scans look good, etc.

I know you're worried about his memory and such. My little brother and I both had issues with memory after head trauma (he was in a skiing accident and mine was after my brain surgery)...he permanently lost a few days or a week and his personality changed a bit for a year or two. But he's back. My problems were more like forgetting what words meant, what things were named, etc. Pete's trauma was far worse. I know you know this but time, time, time. You'll be amazed at what time can do.

I am beyond grateful and thrilled to hear that everything is going the way it is. You will all remain in our prayers.

Much love!

I am in the 21st ward. I BELIEVE IN MIRACLES!!!! We had our own journey of faith and mirales with our little Kaidence. She became ill from a virus at 5 months old and went into heart failure. We listed her for a new heart and placed her on an experimental heart pump from Berlin Germany to keep her alive until a real heart came. Her heart function was 3-5% and many doubted that she would survive. We saw many miracles. We learned so much about our family, ourselves, our faith and about the good in others. So much good has come from our jouney. Miracles happen. Kaidence got a new heart December 23, 2007 and is know a thriving 2 years old. It has taken much time and therepy to learn how to eat again and things like that, but she is well on her way. Keep your chin. Heavenly Father loves you and knows of every need. He will never leave you alone. Our prayers and faith are with you. "Faith makes things possible...not easy" but Faith is our greatest gift during times like these.

With Hope, Faith and Love

Jen I have no doubt prayers have been issued for you and Pete on both sides of the veil. You were so loved by my daddy. He adored you. He spoke of you often with admiration. I know he has been petitioning Father for you! He has been gone 13 years TODAY and I have no doubt he is busy doing whatever he can on you behalf. I have felt him more strongly today than in some time now. I know he is close...probably with YOU when you didn't even know it! You are such a strong woman...no longer that precious little girl I watched grow up. The love you and Pete share is so obvious in the pictures your mother posted. You keep hanging on and KEEP YOUR FAITH! Miracles are yours today! You are so loved!
