Memories

I really like this chain; I've really liked reading it on my sisters blog. Hopefully you all will think it's as fun as I do...
 Here are the directions:
1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses.

I remember writing "Dear Jenny" letters and getting wonderful advice back. It made me feel like so good that you thought enough of me to write me.

I guess I should first start with all the hair memories, if it werent for you, I would be completely clueless on how to fix my hair. Any style that I have is solely b/c of you!

My memories of you that stand out the most are the "Big Sister" memories. Like how you used to leave inspirational notes/quotes in my room. I remember you made one that looked like a crown that said, "You deserve to be treated like the princess you are" or something like that. I still have it in my memory box. As cheesy as they seem now, those notes really helped me remember who I was.

The other "Big Sister" that is one of the most important. When I was a senior and you flew me out to Salt Lake after you had moved out here b/c you knew that I was going through a hard time. So I just came and hung out with all of your friends over Valentine's weekend. And I remember you brought me to the mall and bought me a brand new, full priced outfit from The Limited. It was a blue sweater vest with a yellow stripe across the chest with a yellow button up shirt underneath and a new pair of jeans. That was seriously the nicest outfit I ever had in my mind. (I think Amy might actually still have the sweater vest...lol) I remember wishing that I had a little sister so I could be a cool big, responsible sister like you. You always did stuff like that for me, like San Francisco and when Wendy came out for the summer!

I love that you're doing this... I can't help remember our "late night" (meaning 8:30pm) walks and talks about everything and anything that came to mind. I think it's amazing that you are so conscientious about parenting and are seriously such a good listener! (Hence the hairstylist/therapist profession) Also, how could we not mention the matching pregnancies due withing 10 days of each other (ok, yours came a bit early) with boys both named William!

I remember you fixing my hair when it had been totally trashed, bleached and cropped by an idiot. I'll always be grateful!

And, I remember a trip to a seedy little joint in Sugar House for piercings! Ugh.

LOL. I remember we were preparing to celebrate our first wedding anniversaries and you felt it was absolutely necessary to introduce me to the Blue Boutique in Sugarhouse!!!! Remember going there? I can even recall what we purchased! However, I shall spare you and not post all the details here. A hint though...one item was edible. LOL.LOL.LOL. It was awesome, thank you Jennifer. You really helped me "see the light."
